I think that although medium’s intentions were right, many quality writers are not being paid the same and we have no idea why. I went from earning 8-20 dollars a day to less than 2 dollars a day. I put so much time and effort into my stories and only write from a personal and educated perspective about autism. Before the change, countless of my stories were being boosted. So what changed? It surely wasn’t my writing, and I really don’t think that this is a beneficial or transparent system that rewards writers. In fact, many neurodivergent/autistic writers have seen their engagement and earnings plummet. Not every reader is going to clap or respond to a story- even more so for the autistic/neurodivergent community. I don’t feel like these changes are inclusive in any way, and I urge you to reconsider this.
